Thanks Angle Bush for a fun interview on Wednesday night. It was neat being featured as an "inventor." I typically put Thomas Edison in that category, not me :) -I sure appreciate the invitation to visit with you and your audience on your "Favorites" broadcast!

QW Contest for Teachers Kicks Off!
Qwizzy's World is sponsoring a contest for all participating QW School Campaign teachers. Just in time for the holidays, the prize will be a 10-12 lb. Turkey! One teacher's name from each school will be drawn on Nov. 8th, with Turkeys being delivered the week before Thanksgiving. Teachers qualify by being members of QW and the Campaign and earn tickets over the next 2 weeks. Based on student participation, there will also be one lucky classroom overall earning a large class party.
JennaBug on Qwizzy's World gets an upgrade!
The K-2nd pre-made quiz section of QW called "JennaBug" was recently upgraded. The section now includes even more practice quizzes for the younger set and quizzes can now be copied over to the main storage chart for full usage. This means that these short, fun quizzes can now be edited, taken, printed, scored and stored for performance tracking. These are great starter quizzes for this age group and are being used in schools as a jump-start for teaching these youngsters the art of learning how to study! Keep an eye out for more quizzes to be added...the input from teachers has been fabulous.
QWStudy.com adds FREE 30 Day TRIAL to Special School Campaign
Starting October 26th, when students join the QW School Campaign, they will find that they now have 30 days FREE to check out the site. The discounted one-year membership fees will still apply after the 30 days have expired. We appreciate all the support and look forward to bringing more schools and students on board in 2010!

Teacher inspired enhancements come to QW!
QW has introduced a new feature to aid in Quiz Creation. To give students a jumpstart in Grades 3rd thru 8th, there is now a section called SAMPLE STARTERS. Here, quizzes can be found in 4 subjects (Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Math) for each of grades 3 - 8. The quizzes are short, containing 4 questions representing each format (Multiple Choice, Matching, Fill in the Blank, and True/False) and can be reviewed or copied over to the All My Quizzes section for taking and scoring. These samples are a great guide for how quizzes can be designed in these subjects!
We've also added a place for students to add in their Student ID # when taking a quiz. This number will follow the student through the scoring and posting process, making it easier for teachers to see which student took which quiz when using the same Username.
On Overall Performance Results, students can now also share the results of a SCORED QUIZ with their teachers with a click of a button!
We are very excited about our QW Campaign and encouraged by the number of schools who have come on board!

We are very excited about our recent June visit to the TEPSA conference in Texas and are proud of all the fabulous response we received! Just last week, the Founder's (that's me!) own county of Forsyth in Georgia signed on their first Middle School - VCM! With the Forsyth CountySuperintendent, Buster Evans, feeling "great" about the program and its benefits, we are excited about schools in Georgia jumping on board soon!

Reading Comprehension Quizzing Available on Qwizzy's World!
Happy New Year!
The start of 2009 welcomes an upgrade to www.qwizzysworld.com with the addition of a Reading Comprehension section when quizzing! Users can enter information into a text box, then create questions pertaining to that story or topic in any of five formats (MC, Fill in the Blank, T/F, Open Ended, Matching.) Once created, the story appears at the top of the quiz and any created questions randomize when taking. With Statewide testing right around the corner, QW hopes to have this new feature help prepare students for the Reading Comp section on the exam.
Also new is a special "inside tour" of the site, available for visitors who are curious about Qwizzy's World and what all it has to offer - it's viewable before signing up for the 30 day free trial. We expect the tour to be "live" within a week!
We hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season and we look forward to bringing you even more in the world of quizzing in 2009!
